Humanity's Essence

In the rush of the modern age, we race,

Lost in the chaos, we've misplaced,

The tender touch, the empathetic gaze,

As we navigate life's frenzied maze.

Technology's allure, a double-edged sword,

Connecting us all, yet leaving hearts ignored.

In the glow of screens, we lose sight,

Of the souls around us, hidden from light.

In the pursuit of progress, we've left behind,

The simple joys, the ties that bind.

Humanity's essence, slipping away,

In a world consumed by power's sway.

Greed and ambition, driving us apart,

Fracturing bonds, corroding the heart.

As we chase wealth and fame's elusive gleam,

We lose touch with what it means to dream.

Yet in the midst of this darkened night,

A flicker of hope, a guiding light.

For deep within, the ember still burns,

A yearning for love, for peace, for turns.

Let us pause in the rush, and listen close,

To the whispers of the heart, the silent prose.

For in reclaiming our humanity's song,

We find the strength to right the wrong.

So let compassion be our guiding star,

In this modern world, no matter how far.

For in the end, it's our humanity,

That will lead us home, to unity.
