In the land of the blue hills where rivers flow,
Sattriya dance, its tales bestow.
A dance of devotion, pure and bright,
In Sankardeva's divine light.
From Sattra's walls, the dance does rise,
A tribute to the sacred skies.
In graceful movements, stories told,
Of legends ancient, hearts enfold.
Costumes vibrant, makeup bold,
Intricate patterns, stories unfold.
Mukha Pravesh, with reverence deep,
A spiritual journey, for hearts to keep.
With every step, a prayer is said,
To gods and goddesses, hearts are led.
In rhythmic beats, the music sways,
As dancers weave their mystic ways.
Nitya, Nritya, Natya too,
Expressions myriad, dreams pursue.
In Krishna's love, Radha's embrace,
Sattriya dance, finds its grace.
Accompanied by melodies sweet,
Traditional tunes, the dancers meet.
With khol and tal, the rhythm flows,
In Sattriya's dance, devotion glows.
Recognized as classical, pure and true,
Sattriya dance, in Assam's view.
A heritage cherished, for all to see,
In every movement, history's plea.
So let the rhythms of Sattriya ring,
In every heart, let the dance sing.
A tribute to culture, tradition's art,
Sattriya dance, forever in our heart.
