Purno Sangma : A Beacon of Light

In Garo hills, where great hornbill takes flight,

Stood Purno Sangma, a ray of light.

With vision high where people were gazed,

He forged a path though the life was mazed.

A son of the soil, tribal pride in his veins,

He fought for the rights, amidst life's strains.

From Garo hills to khasi hills, his voice resound,

For the marginalized, his efforts  were profound.

In the corridors of power, he stood tall,

A leader true, heeding the tribal call.

Chief Minister, MP, a statesman grand,

In service to Meghalaya, he took his stand.

Bridging divides, he sought to unite,

Empowering youth, with futures bright.

In classrooms and fields, his legacy gleams,

Nurturing dreams, beyond the streams.

Roads he paved, to progress's door,

With infrastructure, he aimed to soar.

Healthcare, education, in his sight,

For every Meghalayan, life and delight.

Though time may pass, and seasons change,

In our hearts his memory remains,

Purno Sangma's works we  will forever cherish.

Under whose leadership, the state flourished.
