In the Land of the Red River, where legends thrive,
Lachit Borphukan, his valor alive.
A warrior born, of noble name,
In history's annals, he earned his fame.
From youth, he honed his martial skill,
With courage ablaze, and iron will.
To defend his land, he took his stand,
A hero born, to protect his land.
As Mughal shadows loomed afar,
Lachit's resolve burned like a star.
Against the tide of invaders' might,
He led his troops, in the fateful fight.
At Saraighat's banks, they made their stand,
Defending Assam's sacred land.
With strategy bold and tactics keen,
They faced the foe, in battles unseen.
Outnumbered, but undaunted still,
Lachit's warriors fought with skill.
Through rivers' flow and arrows' rain,
They held the line, their homeland to regain.
With victory won, their banners flew,
Assam's spirit, forever true.
In Lachit's name, they sing their praise,
For his courage and valor, in ancient days.
Though time may pass, and empires fall,
Lachit Borphukan stands tall.
A beacon of hope, for all to see,
In Assam's land, for eternity.
