Living in Fear

Skilled man and a lovely family,

He had seven kids;

He had amassed fortune,
To meet all their needs.

Lovely wife and a giggling home,
Wonderful family's epitome;
Had a niche for everything,
And a perfect upbringing.

Then comes the social turbulence,
People on killing spree;
Societal imbalance,
Giving minor a third degree.

Worried for his kids,
Hid them in the wild for months;
Fearing family's safety,
He could not  confront.

He was born in this land,
Living for many century;
Fought for the country's freedom,
Are asked to leave on the contrary.
He is the son of the soil,
He has his part on it;
He has the right to live,
But they deterred his grit.

Government came to aid,
After two years of pain;
All the property snatched,
Victims are in disdain.

Penniless and hopeless,
He took a refuge now;
Nine life shattered,
Lost his quality endow.

Enough of suffering and pain,
Stop the hatred and fear;
Let us all live in peace,
Make all your judgement clear.
